Mathura: Meera Rathore, Agra district president of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, has expressed her willingness to serve as an executioner for two women sentenced to death in separate murder cases. She has submitted an application to the Mathura District Magistrate seeking permission to take on the role and said she would perform the duty without accepting any payment if the administration approved her request.
Rathore’s request comes amid continued public attention surrounding two high-profile murder cases. In the first, the murder of Saurabh Rajput in Meerut’s Brahmpuri area came to light after his body was concealed in a blue drum.
A court sentenced Saurabh’s wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her associate, Sahil Shukla, to death on October 14, 2026, after finding them guilty in the case.
In a separate case, Ravita and her associate, Amardeep, were convicted of murdering Amit Kashyap. According to the prosecution, an attempt was made to portray Kashyap’s death as the result of a snakebite.
Investigators uncovered evidence of murder during the investigation, including findings from the post-mortem examination and other evidence. The court subsequently sentenced both accused to death, bringing the case into the public spotlight.
In her application to the Mathura District Magistrate, Rathore expressed her willingness to carry out the executions of the two convicted women without charging any fee. She also mentioned performing a purification ritual with Gangajal before the executions.
Rathore’s proposal now awaits consideration by the administration. Any decision regarding her request and the appointment of an executioner would depend on the applicable legal procedures and official requirements. No approval of her request has been reported in the information provided.
